For sale are my Banded steels. Started life as Mk2 Golf "Donuts" or "Smoothies" and then were given a 2.5 inch band. This gives them a really large dish and i think they look awesome. They are in good overall condition the paint is not perfect but these arnt show wheels and look great on the car.

Rears: 175/50/13 Continental Contisport one has 6mm tread the other had 3mm.

just wondering did you have these on a 6n? how much did they poke?

I didn't have them on a 6n but the person I got them off did. They poked a bit but with the stretch it brought the tyre back in the arch fine.

just wondered what are the front tyres like for tread?

didn't think banding effected the et? as originally they're et38 aren't they.

Of course banding changes the offset as youve moved tgd centre point of the wheel, just as when tou make any wheel wider. Can you post a pic of the bullet steels please.

Offset is the number of mm (+ or -) the wheel hub face is from the center of the wheel. So if the wheel is originally et38 (+) then the band welded in must be 38mm to then make it et0, so now the mounting face side of the wheel is bang on center of the wheel, where as before it was 38mm off center positve (+ = the outer side of the wheel - = inner side)

if the center is not moved then its the back spacing that isnt effected when banded.

ah thanks for that, i never knew that. i have mk2 golf banded steels. 8j on the front. 9j on rear.

i want these so bad and i live in somerset lol if only i had cash i only have 13x8 banded steels but mine are breadvan 1s lol
