there is a very specific one coming out of shoreham airport stating "Hump 435 Yards" just a single speed bump over a quarter of a mile away.

Those arrows are a pain, how am i supposed to drive my land rover over that nice mound when they shove signs in the way

haha

Sorry its classed as Urban Green Laning

There's one here, which says Left Turn Only, and if you do turn left, you end up going the wrong way up a one way narrow national country lane...

/end logic.

Can't say I have seen many, although there is one on the way into derby where someone has flipped the arrows over on a tight corner. Always catches me out.

There is a sign up in my area somewhere that says "New road layout ahead". It's been there for a few years now.

Outside a gaybar in chesterfield, in massive white writing on the floor "NO ACCESS TO REAR"..... little ironic :p

Yeah i've seen these dotted about MK, they're typically true but they keep little clusters lit around some of the more dodgy junctions. Like Watling street is off but it's lit in some patches like at the Ronnies/86cafe and Furzton junction because there's a pavement runs along it.

I saw this one on a Citroen AX...

There was a plain yellow sign on a local A road near me that just said 'Sign Under Test'

I don't get it?

It clearly works because you read it!

I think all cities and built up areas should have:

Warning: Taxi drivers operate in the area

The ones that annoy me are the stupid big screens on the motorway which say stupid stuff like 'fog', well yeah it's pretty obvious there's fog, the presence of the fog tells me it's foggy, not that stupid sign.

And the one that says 'watch your speed', if people sat there watching their speedos there'd probably be more accidents.

The matrix signs in Scotland are the best. Many of them focus on what the scots hold most dear: their wallet! They things like 'save money, slow down'. They also have more futile ones like 'don't drink and drive'. As if!

There is one I went under that said "check your fuel", the petrol station was 200 yards in the direction the traffic had just came. Also one of them said "Don't take drugs and drive", I hadn't seen that one before then.

Also the council just lowered a 30mph limit down to a 20mph limit on this street. Follow it down and check out how narrow it is and rough the surface gets, nobody would do 20 down that road anyway so lowering the speed limit, painting the road and putting signs up was a big fat waste of time.

I bet some cock in a 4x4 would do 20mph down there.

There are always people who think the speed limit is a target, most of the time one to be beaten.....

A lot of the time they show that drink driving one in the morning and early afternoon  .
