I have a CEG 5 speed gearbox for sale. with 5 speed ARB and 5 Speed gear linkage

Looking for £130 for it all so its a full 5 speed conversion for your car everything you need

i have replaced:

differential bearings and seals

gear selector shaft seal and bush

filled with good grade oil

I have also machined down the flanges to remove all of the play they had so it now runs perfect.

Had all the diff checked by my local transmission place to makesure it was all ok and checked the rest of the insides and they looked and worked fine so just replaced the other bits listed

the gear linkage has had a full new bushing kit fitted too

located in Corby, Northants.

CEG ratios & final drive?

i dont know but I've heard its next best thing after an ATV box mate if you search on here there is a post with alot of the gearbox drive ratios on

yeah i think thats just 6n and 6n2 but then again i didnt look in that much detail. ATV is g40 isnt it?

this is a CEG off a mk2f so its a better box and yeah ATV is G40 heard people use the CEG on thir G40's if they cant source another ATV and found the ratios here they are:

First drive: 3.455

second: 1.958

Third: 1.25

Fourth: 0.891

Fifth: 0.74

Final Drive: 4.063

there are boxes closer to the G40 than this but they maybe harder to get hold of this box work amazingly well on my carbed and lightened/balanced AFH

let me just do some calcs and compare to what i have at the minute, although that final drive is looking quite revvy so maybe ideal?! and i maybe yes, depends if it will fit my mk4 actually ? haha

it will be a straight fit on your engine mate but if you want a lighter mk3 flywheel thats lightened and balanced with clutch and the rare slim starter motorthats needed i also have these for sale they may benefit your engine and i can sell these with it too if your interested

Iv just worked out the ratios of my 1.4 box, the 1.6 box, your 8p, and my 1.4 final drive in the 1.6 box.

mine isnt an 8P box its a CEG but they are both 085 type boxes i think with the same ratios
