I have a 1.2 polo 9n and I was just wondering what worth while engine/brake upgrades are there ? I have searched google, but nothing ! Any help would be greatly appreciated

To be fair... unless you put a huge engine in or gonna use it for some sort of motorsport i dont really see the point in either...

its a 1.2 and always will be, you're not going to get anything noticable with any mods to a 1.2 engine in these that dont invole stupid amounts of money....go for low and slow

And I'm not expecting huge gains, but would it decrease performance if I was to remove centre section ? I'm not wanting to be an uber faggot and put some stupid noisy back box on, I only really want to do it to give a better exhaust note, without being stupidly loud and also when you go low, most cars centre sections get ripped off over speed bumps, so yeah standard cat, standard back box, but remove section and weld straight pipe in its place, would it decrease performance ?

It's only when it's idle-ing that they sound ermm diesel-ish, but as soon as they get over 1000rpm they just sound like a normal car really, but would I actually loose performance ?
