My 6n2 Paddy

Featured Replies

Well i'm new to this forum so thought i'd put up a few pictures of my Polo and introduce myself.

This is my first car and i've had it for 3 years, I've put a lot of work into the car and changed a lot - details can be found in the project threads :)

I'd be really interested on your views/opinions on the polo so far as it will always be a 'work in progress' :D

Main aim is to do an engine conversion, preferably take the 20v 1.8t engine from the MK4 Golf......replace the tiny 1.4 that occupys the space currently :p Thats the dream haha - give me a few years ;)

Looks clean, slam it ;)

dropped it 40mm already, dont want it riding too low with all these pesky speed bumps!

looks good nice clean oem look to it, but go another 20mm lower and it will be perfection not too low but just right imo

I loved my first car, the freedom, the fun..

I made it mine with a few little details and people generally liked it. What was it? A beige Ford Escort 1.3L..

Your Polo is tidy, really tasteful and its ideal. Lower it a bit more and you'll ruin it, with it being bumpy and generally less comfortable.

And for what?

I think it's bang-on, just enjoy it.

cheers :D i love it exactly the way it is now, rides hard enough over speed bumps!......but i have a question :

what do you think....should I put the red line along the front grille like on a polo GTI???

I like the idea, my dad doesnt, any opinions??

Tidy looking car

eventually i would want the 20vt conversion but i would like to try a pd130 lump from a fabia vrs

I personally wouldn't put the red stripe on, don't really think it would suit it tbh

but its your car

Leave as is, looks nice

Still remember my first car, and its whats kept me in the polo camp. Mk2 Breadvan. It was red, but the roof was scratched on delivery, so it was resprayed. However it would always fade to pink. We had it from new and i learnt to drive in it. However, there was no way i was driving around with a pink roof. So i sprayed a union jack on it. Fucking awful job, but it looked the nuts from a far! That was as far as the mods went on that one!

As mikey says, just enjoy this one. After a few years get another car, and keep this as a project if you still like it

Agreed :) cheers!

Red stripe might look a bit.. pretentious?

But a black badge should work? Symbolizing the sporting VW's, it can look tacky with the wrong trim but look what it did to this girly 6n..

Makes the biggest impact on a 6n2 imo, GTi grille or not..
