Nothing broken,.just an engine in pieces!

Thanks to Buster for the bumper clips which are now in place :) whilst outside, i used up some heatwrap i had left over and I'm reasonably happy with the results.......

Whats the damage on the side like mate, whens it going in for the respray? I think this would look good with original interior and standard bbs wheels to go for the mega stealth look :)

Damage is bareable chap. ill bosh a pic up when i get a sec. Someone with metal beating skills should be able to do something with it hopefully. as for a respray, when I've saved up although reshellings looking a viable option.

Bbs rims are well overdone. as it stands, no-one expects it to do what it does. as a chap at my work says, it looks like shit but it goes like shit off a shovel

Managed to wash the beasty today whilst it was drizzlin (free rinse ftw) and had a real good photo lined up next to a modified 6n2 owned by the lass that works at my local but my goddamn phone battery died :( and besides, the pictures always look better on my phone (HD pics ftw). Need to get under the bonnet and clean like a mofo!

Its looks better than the manky pipe now its covered, will help slightly keeping intake temperatures down plus it matches the turbo downpipe (well it will till the heatwrap goes through its so called 'curing' phase and looses its colour!)

I know my wheels arent scene. function over form at the end of the day and besides, i think wheels that are barely missing the arches are stupid. lincolnshire roads are bloody terrible anyway!

I miss the eaton whine but i love the turbo performance. I just need a big valve head now (if its even possible to buy the larger valves anymore?) and a proper set-up session and i'll be finished under the bonnet - till i get bored! The scalas may appear at some point. need some low profile tyres for them.as i suspect they'll catch with the current ones fitted.

Update.....

Not done much to the car apart from drive it. the rear wiper motors finally gone and a ebay purchased bung to fill the hole. got a week off from work next week so if the weathers not too mean, ill be able to get under the car hopefully and discover whats knocking?!!!

i think the knocking noise is the tca on the back of the inlet manifold. seems to be alot scratches/scoring on it which would explain the knocking noise hopefully. once i figure out how to fix said problem, all should be good :)

no other updates. been pretty bored today as a local farmer decided to cut the electric supply with his tractor (fecking nobend!) so i went out and clean the car a little bit.....

not 100% perfect but ill get the other bits sorted tomorrow.

As for the steering arms.... Theres a slot for the bolt in the rack, back that go further round underneath with the file and rotate the track rod bars further under the steering rack

i know. once i get near a tig welder i will. i just dont possess one :(

i meant mig.... not with it today!! cant really bend my hangers as they're fooked! ones a modified tent peg ffs (my mate offered to weld the original hanger and fucked itup the giant nancy so pikeytech skills to the rescue )

besides the backbox is welded to the s bend as the exhaust clamp was either hitting the tarmac or rattling on the car so it went bye bye

I'd love to say i agree, but i some how seem to be doing things properly on the polo Given up polishing things though, will do that when i get bored of the new engine.

i do things properly but theres the odd job which just needs a touch of pikeytech about it to make it right, like the exhaust hanger

Cable ties arent pikey though. Tts the fitment, many manufacturers use cable tidies/ties but they are just that CABLE tidies, not for holding radiators/trim/bodywork or anything that could have a affect on other motorists if a tie snapped and something fell out.
