finally got my arse in gear and got the ARB blocks fitted. bit fiddly but got there in the end....

will drive home and see how how it is. make any adjustments if necessary. will have to come off again when.my ppp stage 2 frame arrives.

also hacked my aquamist loom to bits and remade it deleting any unnecessary parts. just gotta connect afew wires together at the pump and the dash switch and it should be good to test.

let us know how you get on with the blocks pal as i got same ones as you (maxs ?) and my car wont hit the road for a while just be nice to no what there like u use coppergrease on there aswell ?

I will do. I've only done 3/4 miles since fitting them but everything feels alot tighter.

i was advised to grease them up when fitting and as theyll be coming off again real soon so i can fit a subframe, i used copper grease (and itwas the only grease i had to hand )

Realised the underneath is absolutely covered in kack so some degunking juice is on the shopping list and some pressure washing goodness :)

Ooops.... yeah, they are from Max. I've just given them a quick lick with black hammerite to protect them long term.

Replaced a dodgy exhaust clamp today as the old one was kaputski and letting the s-bend flop towards the floor!

My ppp stage 2 frame arrived today so that will get fitted real soon hopefully. cheers guys

plenty of injectors and piping to keep me occupied. just need microswitch, bottle adaptor and a decent solenoid and I'm in business :) wont be installed yet tho....

Well the MOT ran out today which is an arse. got a week off work to play with it so may see how many jobs i can get done all at once. frame should be fitted and afew other lil jobs along the way.

Jamie - was the exhaust that pissed me off the most. came loose on way to test so i asked them to do it up and they said yes. when i drove it home the exhaust sounded stupidly loud! What they did was not bother fixing it, held the s bend up with some cableties and failed it! Its been well and truly hammered together now :)

Well after thousands of swear words, two very long days and about 50fags, I got my subframe fitted :) Its surprising how far out the front of the car was without it as the tracking needed doing badly afterwards!!! Had slick tyres in two days Now it actually goes where I bloody want it to. Still got an oil leak to diagnose.....

removed filter and sandwich plate, cleaned up, sealed with some proper sealant donated from next door and new filter added

turbo oil return pipe removed and fitted better............

and it still leaks :( Back underneath I go.

Also fitted some new items picked up from the guys up in Manc.......... Bout time I added some more pics

Jon- cracking price on the nitrous kit, the Venom injectors are good (I use a single crossfire) but you will have to drill/tap 16 holes into your inlet to run direct port setup this way, plenty of leak paths!

If you're planning on ~25bhp increase I'd stick to a single injector pre TB - can stick it in silicone nice and easily then.

DP is better though, nitrous/fuel distribution is much more even (providing the distribution blocks are all good) I have melted single plugs in the past with higher flows of nitrous and a single injector, clearly poor distribution to blame.

PM me if you need info once you've got it running, I'd start with brand new ignition components all over :-)

Wont be for a while yet as i want a brand new solenoid and the one i have looks abit of an old design to say the least! I'm only going to be running a very low output (maybe 20bhp) so ill install the injector somewhere near the intercooler outlet and go from there.

Other idea was to use the bottle and feeds to spray the intercooler.

Bit of boredom and freetime so did a couple of jobs.....

fitted nitous feed to boost pipe. Wanted to put it lower down originally but it wouldve seen the injector subjected to more road crap than i would like so it hidden up in the engine bay. Not currently connected to anything as i need afew more lil bits to finish it off (bottle feed adaptor, solenoid to line out adaptor and microswitch).

Also hijacked the rear window washer feed and that now runs via a 4mm pipe iirc to the intercooler where ill install 2 washer jets to spray the IC. Just need two washer jets

Got abit bored yesterday so finally decided to install my aquamist pump properly. As there wasnt much available room on the passenger side of the engine bay, the washer bottle had to go! Washer bottle now fits nicely under the scuttle panel and will get some proper brackets made up for it. Cleaned the space up where the bottle was and gave the rusty bits a coat of hammerite. Its not pretty but its functional which is the main aim of the car. Race pump is screwed to the wheelarch with shortened screws (angle grinder goodness!) And voila..... job done :) keep promising more pics i just keep forgetting

Be happy with around 180bhp without nos and 200ish with but itll more likely be less than that.

Bit of a problem today!!! stopped at the shop on the way to my parents and noticed some oil on the floor near the drivers side wheelarch!!! On further investigation it seems the cv boot on that side had come loose and splattered oil everywhere (well I'm hoping its that as the breatherpipe emerges into the wheelarch too ) car was running fine as id just wasted afew idiots in a crappy clio which they thought was a rocket ship Turns out for them it wasn't! Going to give afew things a clean out tomorrow after work and see what the outcome is. Need to get a oil pressure gauge on the car and see whats what.

washer bottle rehomed to behind firewall and pump for aquamist secured properly. covered the odd spot of rust with black hammerite for now. its not pretty but it works.
