My 6n valver build so far.

Featured Replies

Think its time to pull my finger out and do a build thread on my car.

Its a 6n valver on a 99 plate, i did a deal with a member on here for it. When i got it i first carried out the following work.

Bodywork.

Resprayed both bumpers.

Cut out the little bit of rust from the rear arch and rewelded then basicly repainted the full quarter.

Colour coded the front grill and handles including delocking the passenger handle

repainted the boot handle as it was scabby

Waxoiled the full underside of the car after a full clean and check for anymore corrosive issues which there wher'nt luckily.

Removed bump strips

I then moved onto the mechanical side which turned out to be a little worse.

New brakes all round (rears cylinders goosed) then fronts new discs and pads and calipers where treated to new seals

New exhaust sytem fitted

New fx street coilovers fitted

Fully polybushed all round

Gearbox oil seal replaced

Full engine service

New rear boot badge

After this my ocd kicked in, i replaced a few plastic parts in the bay as they where a little scruffy including the header tank, washer bottle and cam cover.

Changed the rear lights back to 6n ones as i am not a lover of the 6n2's

Replaced the headlights as one was cracked and they had been painted black on the inserts.

Vinyl wrapped the roof in satin black

After this it was time to fettle the interior. I retrimmed the headlining and pillars in black suede, meanwhile the seats and door cards where at the trimmers getting retrimmed in red nappa leather. Fitted a momo race steering wheel

It is currently rolling on fully polished bbs splits but i am considering a possible change.

I've done a boot build but tbh not happy with it so it could change yet.

Anyway a few pics.

Thanks makes me feel a bit better haha I am on the hunt for some th lines, if I decide to keep the car. I would never get my money back on the car so should probably keep it.

I've seen this over on Unphased.

Looks amazing though :)
