Because my polo has killed 4 boxes in 3 months and i heard diesel boxes are stronger

Maybe. But you'd accelerate about as fast as a drunk bloke on rollerskates, it would be shit. Diesels are geared high cause they have the torque to pull it.

The diesel 6n's use a big block engine while all the petrols are small block lumps which means the bolt spacing on the engine is totally different. Not sure if its possible for the bellhousing to be swaps between the two boxes, if so this could mean it would be possible to swap the boxes over but whether it would be any stronger is questionable.

Even with the weak points of the 6n 085 box you shouldn't be getting through them at that sort of rate, maybe its time to start looking at your driving style?

The AFH does okay with longer ratios, the 6n diesel ratios aren't that long.

They're no stronger, it's just an 085 unit. Only difference is the bell housing is different, to fit the tall block. No problem, simply swap it for a petrol bell housing.
