Mk3/mk2f, mk2, mk1 coilovers with VAG top mounts, bearings and hubs

£350 for everything you see here plus spanners. All rings move freely.

I had these on my mk3 but I believe they fit mk1 and mk2 as well. I don't know if the bearings, hubs and top mounts fit those though?

These are £480 new, plus top mounts, wheel bearings and pulling/pressing the bearings and hubs will set you back easily £550. Mine were fitted in August 2011 and have covered around 5k miles since then. The wheel bearings were brand new VAG at the time, as were the top mounts (and the rear bottom nuts/bolts which were seized solid and had to be cut out when I fitted these).

They could do with a good clean, some of the rings are a bit gnarled where the spanners have been, and one of the allen heads at the top of the front is on the way to rounding from tightening it up once (I removed it with an impact wrench).

Collection from Cambridge or I may be able to deliver between Cambridge and Stroud/Gloucester this weekend (NW London, Birmingham, M4, M5, M6, M42, A14 etc.). They're very heavy so I won't post, although if you want to arrange a courier that would be ok.

I might consider in a couple of weeks. Right now I'm having an absolute nightmare shifting the shell with no suspension so my absolute last resort is to put the coilovers back on and scrap them, so I can't let go of them just now! Who'd have thought I'd have so much trouble giving away a ton of scrap metal?!

If that's the case swap for some standard suspension and £100 first dibs ha!

swap for standard suspension and 150 quid dibs! ;)

£170 and shocks and springs ha ha

£175 and shocks and springs :ninja:

*sigh*

140 and descent lowered shocks and springs, or 180 with standard shocka on lowering springs

Car has just been taken away so no swaps any more! :D

No way did u scrap the coilies?

  • Author

Nope, coilies still all here. There's a few scrapes along the length of my drive, but the bugger is finally gone!

Ahh thats good news fair play!

Would you take £275 for the coilovers?

I'll take £300 cash collected.

Cambridge is a bit of trek from cheshire, its going to cost a bit in fuel. I could pick up this weekend for £285? Sorry to be cheeky!

£300 and we meet in Birmingham on Sunday early afternoon? That's well over a £15 saving in fuel!

Sorry mate cant do early afternoon on sunday, can do sunday evening if thats ok?

Sorry, I'm moving house and need to be back in Cambridge by then. I could leave them at my parents' house in Stroud if that's any better for you? It's a fair bit closer to you.

Just looked on a route planner and its only about 20 miles closer. My wife has family near Peterborough so I thought we could see them on the way to Cambridge. Any chance you'd do them for £285 picked up from Cambridge sunday evening?

See you on sunday! :)

Are these sold? Thanks
