I'd get a dt125 again in a shot. Bored of riding down the same roads everyday? Simple - don't use them!

If you're looking for a really reliable run about, how about an MZ? Yes, they are a two-stroke, but not like any other two stroke you've seen. (youtube SAAB two stroke tickover, this will give you an idea of the sound)

If you get yourself an ETZ 125, you could have a super cheap machine which does excellent mileage to the gallon, and you could go for the retro theme whilst you're at it!

If you say you're looking for sporty, then go for clip ons, rearsets and a single seat: CAFE RACER bitches!

The engine itself is designed with reliability in mind. A heavy piston along with low porting in the barrel allow for masses of torque yet not so much power. Everything is under stressed and the motor will run forever. IF you feel the need to, make up an expansion chamber, put a japanese lightweight piston in it, and fire in an extra base gasket + skimmed head.

You are on the mainland so MZs should be plentiful unlike over here.

They also handle well, as demonstrated in my avatar (Me on an ETZ 301 at the Gooseneck on the TT circuit)

get a Yamaha WR125X, I had one and loved every minute of it :-)

Man up and get a c90, bitches dig them , although if you do get 2 stroke id advise an nsr over a mito or rs everyday of the week.

Unless you have a "Grandad" licencse Harris you will need to get a CBT. My mums never done a CBT but because she has thew old type licensce she can ride up to a 125cc without doing a cbt. I've got a few mates that are 30 and under and they haven't even got "Grandad" licences so they would have to do a CBT to be able to ride upto a 125cc. CBT's are only £100 so no biggee really.

I had a Peugeot Speedfight Rally Victories, loads of mods here and there good for 70mph, best times of my life on that thing, but could never beat my field bikes Honda C70 (with a 90 engine) and a Yamaha DT125R. The Yammy died before the Plag!

I've been thinking about getting a ped to pop about on for work through summer, so much cheaper and would pay for itself over 3 months!

What about a Speedfight 100cc? They done 150cc kits for them and bits and bobs dont they? Not looked at stuff like that in agers. RS125's are ace...if you have the money to keep them going.
