What would you do?

Featured Replies

So, something a little weird has happened. A friend of mine (that doesn't own a Polo) has received a massive box with HIS name and address on it. What's inside? A set of brand new coilovers for a Polo 9n/ 6r, AND a set of brand new shocks and springs.

The only possible connection is that he bought a set of mk3 golf coilovers about 2 months ago (re fabbed for his k10 micra). But he doesn't think they are from the same people (bought from eBay). He hasn't bought anything online since then, and hasn't lost any money from his eBay/ PayPal account.

What would you do? Send them back? (posted from Germany!) Or sell them on?

Just thought I'd share it as we're both stumped!

Blatantly keep them wouldn't you!

Just hold onto them for a bit

Keep!

either sell them or buy a polo to fit them to :)

Id hold onto them for a bit

Ill take them. lol

id give them to eric. wait thats me?

Put them aside for a month if you hear nothing about it make monies on them! To be fair though if he's not paid for them and there's no transactions as long as he didn't sign for them on delivery he can deny any knowledge of these parts then it's the companies own problem

How would they know his name and address chances are you would put tem on a car/sell them then a company would get involved.

^ but if it were me I wouldnt even batter an eyelid they would already be up or sale or swapped for Eric's engine!

sell me the 9n ones so the 9n3 can get lowered

Another vote for put them aside for a bit and see what happens, if nothing then sell on or what ever

Awaits the high horse brigade

Blatantly keep mate, then sell them in a few months when hopefully whoevers they are has been refunded by the company and its all died down

probably cost afair bit to post back so i agree with the above. Why fork out to post em back when its probably obvious someone else has made a mistake.

I ordered a G40 rear badge from germany a while ago. 1 turned up followed a couple of days later by another when id only ordered and paid for one. I kept quiet ;)

This is a bit like asking 'i found 1K on the floor outside my house, what shall i do with it'

Money to be made from someone elses silly mistake here

Working in a shop, i often stumble upon tenners and twentys on the floor. Keep them in the office till the end of the day, if nobody has came back in asking about it, its as good as mine lol.

Keep them for a few weeks, if nothing comes of it then do what you please with them.

Was the parcel signed for?

Yeah that's a good point, its more like going to your bank and finding 1k in it and having no idea where it came from

Yeah, same. Could always see if there's a packing note inside and drop them a message, good karma and all that. You never know, if you help them out you might be able to get a bargain on something you actually want by way of a thank you.

Id hold on to them an if I never heard anythink id get rid

Me sir?

No , haven't had no packages delivered

Thanks , Bye

Did you sign for them?

I love the way people are justifying ways to keep them. Yet we all know what really ought to be done, as no justification would be necessary..

Still..
