I am currently selling some rx2's, some of you may have seen the ad on here. Been in contact with a buyer that asked If I take paypal to which I replied I did. That was their only query to which I had this response which seemed a little odd!!

The wheels is going out to my son and i have contacted a pick up agent that will come to your location for the collection of the wheels. I was just about to book and schedule the pick up with the pickup agent when i had a problem about their payment method. They are only accepting payment through Western Union or Money gram money transfer but i am currently on sea due to my status of work,so i will be including the shipping agent fee along with your item price together to your PayPal account...The pick up agent fee is (£200.00)plus extra (£50)which is for the Western Union or Money Gram sending charges and your item price of (£250.00)plus paypal charges fee (£30)...so i will made the total sum of (£530.00) out for this transaction and PayPal will be crediting your account with (£530.00).

Once i have these done and you have pick up agent fee sent to them, the pick up arrangement will be scheduled by the pick up agent immediately, just wanted to let you know before i proceed with the payment, please advice and i will be looking forward to read from you along with your Paypal invoice so I can process the payment out.

Sounds like the usual person saying they are buying a car from abroad and will have someone collect it, this time it's just with wheels and they are at sea IMO you would have to be daft to pay £280 extra on a set of wheels costing less than that unless they were ultra special wheels.

blatant scam, suprised your even asking. The poor use of the english language is a dead give away. Let me guess, it was advertised on gumtree? Should really be called scumtree! The free advertising seems to attract bottom feeders in my experience.

I mean as regards to the bad grammar, that isnt really applicable as I have dealt with German's and Ducth in the past whos grammar hasnt been spectacular! But also with regards to shipping costs, I sold a set of polished pepperpots to a guy from the states who paid more for postage than the wheels cost! So tbh alarm bells didnt start ringing at those to things it was more the scenario, I've never come across this before.

It's a scam as said someone posted last year, they pay it through courier picks them up but it bounces or some shit like that. AVOID

Yeh chances are you get the money, but they arrange their own courier, wheels get picked up then you're hit with a paypal dispute saying they haven't received them! Think that's how it works.

They come up with some shit story and offer you more money to convince you to buy into it.

just ask yourself why is the guy willing to pay double what the wheels are worth, they aren't exactly rare or hard to get hold of wheels. If the wheels are priced to sell, sooner or later someone will come along and buy them. If your happy with running the risk of loosing £200 worth of wheels if it all goes pear shaped, then do it, just don't winge when you get screwed.

i get the joke, monkey man on the other hand still sounds like he thinks it's legit, then there is daniel who thinks that so long as you go through paypal, then you are safe, which is not always the case

yeahh they could quite easily go through he dispute system.

I'm just amazed that this guy is wondering if its legit! its obviously a load of shit haha
