Can anyone tell me wether a mk2 polo front window (up and down window ) seal will replace the seals in my mk1 polo. They are dried and cracked, cannot find a second set anywhere. VW no longer list the part numbers, also VAGcat don't list them either. I have no longer got access to a mk2 to check them side by side. I've taken a profile picture below if someone could be so kind and check. The length doesn't really matter, i can cut them down etc. as long as the profile is the same.

I have both mk1 and mk2's here. Sorry to say they are very different, hopefully a mk1 item will surface for you soon mate.

The mk1 item looks a lot smaller in profile. Don't have pictures but could get you some if you like. Have you tried asking on the mk1 forum as there are cars being broken on there.

every car that appears on there breaking i have enquired about the seals, but as yet no luck. Car being garaged for the last 2 years has done the bodywork good, but.....the window rubbers are now drier than gandhi's flip flop.
