Fucking idiots. They are training army staff to drive the tankers so even if there is a strike the fuel will still be delivered. The only way we will have shortages is by people panic buying, no doubt the petrol stations will 'adjust' their prices to make the most of the panic

The local Shell has been putting the price up by exactly 1p a day for the last week. Diesel here is currently sitting at 149.9p, Petrol is 144.9p (i feel sorry for people who fill up with V-Power @ 157.9p)

Also the training of extra drives can't be legal surely? It kind of makes their strike completely pointless. The whole idea behind going on strike is that it causes enough disruption for people to actually shut the fuck up and listen to what you have to say. By training extra drivers to make sure there is no fuel shortage, who the fuck is even going to notice any difference? I didn't even know about this strike until I came on here so I guess the Govt plan is working quite well at the moment.

I literally thought it was just the Shell being a bit more greedy than usual.

But what they havnt taken into account is the Drivers on strike blockading the Fuel Terminals.

Godsake. I need to fill up tomorrow for a trip to the south coast this weekend. Asda seemed fine yesterday. I might try going at midnight and hope it hasn't run dry.

Snows a bit, supermarkets become empty. Not because of the snow, but because of people panic buying. If people didn't panic buy, supermarkets wouldn't become empty, regardless of the weather.

Same goes for this, we only run out because of panic buying. Nothing to do with the actual strike. If people didnt panic buy, petrol stations would have enough petrol to last them however long the strike is on for.

If I don't like my terms of employment I can always fuck off and find another job. I don't go crying to mummy and shut myself in my bedroom for a few days refusing to go to work 'til the nasty man is nice to me again. If what your employer is doing is legal, then hard cheese old bean, if you don't like it move countries, jobs or just go top yourself because it's not fair. If we keep encouraging strikes we'll turn into France.

Is annoying as I have to fill up every week for work, half the pumps at my local had run out because of people panic buying.

Someone at work was telling me how he was heading out tonight to fill his cars up cos they were only on half a tank. And he only uses the car once or twice a week! Fool.

I wondered why there was so many people at the petrol station today....just thought it must have been the time

Managed to sneak it past most of the queue though as no one realised there was a spare pump infront of a lorry...

Thankfully i've just got a job in my town, no more 55 mile return drive to work anymore (rolling the valver on the way home one morning was the last straw).

Mountain bike's being rebuilt as we speak, won't be a patch on the one some arse stole the other summer, though.
