I'm not niave to think this isn't a money making ploy. As I said, the media (especially the left) as well as labour will pounce on any showing of 'weakness' I.e an apology. Hence making one impossible. Politicians, just like the police, make easy targets for people who want someone to blame. Could all the critics run the country better? completely agree mate, I believe the tabloid media have an alarming amount of power over the morons in society and you are absolutely correct.

on another just got me some fuel as I appear to have used more than I expected went to tesco and was waiting behind one car at the four open pumps and then before i knew it there was a queue behind me. at half eleven. on a friday night.

It's a load of shit, i needed some petrol as my golf was low. I was driving into the road where the forecourt was, to find cones blocking the entry. I then seen a few people in high visibility jackets, one told me that the petrol station was closed due to the petrol station causing bad traffic jams. I then noticed the huge que of traffic all around the supermarket so i had to go all the way to the back and que just to get out of the car park. It took 45 minutes just travel about 0.2 miles

But these 'mistakes' weren't all made at the same time. One silly arse apparently made one, then as soon as the public outcry was dying down from that another one said exactly the same kinda thing, this has happened 3 or 4 times now. It would take some pretty nieve fool to believe that a boss would allow four such high profile employees to make such a mistake over and over and not try to distance themselves or try to claim it was just a mistake... as far as I'm aware no one has even tried to claim that this retarded advice is even a mistake?

the unions should back off and stop trying to cause strikes and tbh any driver that strikes should be sacked, as there are plenty of drivers who would jump at the opportunity to become a tanker driver.

the reason this country is in shit is because the of the unions and the worst part is people believe that the unions are on their side! they are not on anyones side all they seem to do is destroy industry and create unemployment, the demise of the british car industry is a prime example of how the unions "helped" the workers to stay in their jobs.

15 years ago the airport refuellers at Manchester were on £30K+ even more than we were on as CAA licence'd aircraft technicians, who were signing for the safe condition of the aircraft with 360+ passengers lives and if we were found to be neglegent, it would be manslauter x360 plus any casualties on the ground, yet the refuellers just hooked up to an underground fuel supply and to the aircraft and start pumping, Jet A1 is so stable a fuel you could throw a lit ciggy into a barrel of it and it would go out

The way i see it, we've established a few things.

One - the government are quite happy with how it's all going. It might not be all about tax, but it's about something and it's all looking rosy. With pastygate perfectly timed to keep the plan working. Making sure people are stocked up so the unions fail does hold some weight in part if not all, given the relationship they have with the tories.

Two - the unions are parasites, they used to feed off Labours back hand, but they don't get fed by the tories so they're finding any excuse to look like they're needed. And they have tempted well paid staff to stick up for them.

Fact is, they do so much damage whenever they throw their weight about, you can only question if they're any good anywhere. The company i work for, we have all rejected use of a union, and we are a close, happy, successful corporate structure as a result. Our biggest competitor is stark contrast. I will never expose my employment details on the internet, and never have in my long career with them so far, so you'll have to take my word.

Three - Labour are still working out how best to have a dig at the coalition, and have scraped little together yet but for some total retard who was lucky to make it into her 40's anyway. In this new age, we've gone back to the notion that people are responsible for their actions. Amen to that.

Four - she represents millions of brits who are actually so enslaved to a controlled system, they make a mockery of the human's status in the animal kingdom.

Five - we're not a complete lost hope yet - we love things that get us all thinking together about us all as a population. I'd say in unison, but out of it would be better in this case..
