For Sale: Euro Style 6N Polo 1.0L

Featured Replies

This is a very clean example of a modified Volkswagen Polo, it is the 1998 CL model and has a 1.0L petrol engine with 108,882 miles on the clock.

12 months MOT and 5 months Tax.

I've had this car for 5 years and as my first car, I wanted something that was economical, reliable and that looked good. I had the RH Cups imported from Germany by Dubmeister.

The wheel specs are Front 7x15 et37 and Rear 8x15 et45 with 20mm spacers.and rolled rear arches. I decided to treat the wheels to a trip down to Cecil at Rainbow polishing in Birmingham, who did a stunning job on polishing them to a mirror finish.

Paintwork is straight; de-badged and smoothed, although the front and 16 valve rear bumper could do with a touch-up and there's a few minor spots of rust here and there.

The alloys are fitted with 195/45/15 Toyo Proxes T1R's with a slight stretch at the rear to accommodate the wider wheel. Each Alloy has little curbing.

The suspension set up is fully adjustable Rokkor coilovers, which provide a firm ride, but allow me to run the car at the desired height.

The light grey Interior is neat and tidy with the addition of a Momo pedal and gear stick set and Clarion head unit.

The engine is in good mechanical working order, before the most recent MOT it has had a new head gasket, piston rings, valve seals, catalytic converter, spark plugs, ht leads and coil to make sure its running at its best.

I feel now is the right time to sell up and get something a bit bigger. An ideal car for a new/learner driver or something that will catch attention at the numerous vdub shows this summer...
