yo I'm bored so i thought id throw a couple pictures up of the kinda shit i get up to at work. I'm an apprentice for first great western, fixing and maintaining diesel trains. check it out, bit bigger than your average car parts!

and a couple from what i did today, changing the no12 cylinder head on a 57, due to a shim missing and wrecking the injector (£1000 worth) and causing it to lose compression.

so yeah, thats what i get up to!!

What I'm taking from that is that you have access to train parts... I do fancy me some train horns...

haha, you should see the size of them dude. plus there so loud that when doing a horn test we have to warn the whole maintenance team that are working near it!

I work in prototype vehicle development at Jaguar Land Rover, can't do pics due to prototype cars, but basically take a car from an idea, develop it through various build phases to a full production model, I usually spend my time tuning the chassis side such as dampers, springs, roll bars, bushes, steering etc etc, all I can say is there is fuck loads that manufacturers do that you wouldn't even consider

I pick up domestic recycling and sling it in a refuse truck! Some of the stuff we find that people throw away beggers belief at times, like the handle on my handbrake - still sealed in its wrapper, never used and specifically for a mk3 polo. Ill have that cheers very much

My old dear works for the council clearing up fly tipping, empties evicted council house and garages ect, should see some of the stuff she brings home. Here's just one example...

There's also been a plastic pig and a Mk1 golf follow her home as well as mountains of other random and bizarre shit

Somebody has to do it, it's actually a very important job when you think about it. I couldn't do it, the house would end up full of the things people were stupid enough to throw out.
