Hi I am a new member as i have just bought a 1992 mk 3 saloon in great condition but without an engine. I was wondering what I could drop in that would be powerful but not too difficult to convert. I was thinking a 100bhp 1.6 petrol from a mk 4? cheers.

I think the 100hp one is a "big block" one, like in an estate/saloon.

You could fit the 1.6 75hp or a 1.4 16v 100hp, which is fairly straight forward, has been done with carbs and injection :)
