Yeah i know mate was a pain. and rewinded my cat on cats eyes. so the cats been rattling about for months. which lead on to todays antic. drove home from work and though it was down on power (i know, hard to tell on a 1L beater) the car wouldnt rev out past 4-5ish k aand i noticed the cat rattle had stopped. So i kinda guessed what happened. so limped back to work, did a few checks and it was the cat blocked up. so i did a quick job of de-catting her must of gave me atleast 0.5 of a hp hahaha

Got some of the interior pillers sprayed matt black. next is door cards and remove the black dash out of the polo I'm breaking :-)

Thats what I've been up to last couple nights after work :) getting loads of goodies out to put in my polo :-) I've got a week off work to crack on with her and shes in need of tlc. but with all the bits i got the interior is going to be stunning :-D

mwaaaar updates. The polo had a cambelt, waterpump and i did some "us spec" sidelights

Yea mate it is. Yeah like you said each to your own, its a marmite car and I like it. If I had the money I'd probaly have a fleet of cars and a stunning polo like yours (follow your thread) but on apprenticeship wadges and paying for car insurance through my arse its the best I could do to my shitty body work. I also enjoy bodywork and liked doing it :-) thanks for the comment anyway mate, appreciate it :-)

may be getting some G60s this weekend, depending on the GF but i have a few bits to do on the bodywork, still got my cupra gti full interior to put in, then its onto the engine. I'd love to 1.8T, But intill i get a few more years on the spanners under my belt and a pay rise may sort that but I'm in the process of hopefully buying a mates cupra GTI 16V. Ideas......

i have one AMAZING GF

No worries mate, i was an apprentice for 3 years and it can get hard but you always find some spare cash for the motor. Should be a pretty straight forward conversion with the gti compared to a 1.8T.

Ha you know how hard it is then! Na I really do struggle, just lucky my misses is a star :-) I'm gunna afh head it, so make it even easier. Haha :-) but like you said, easy going compared to a 1.8T. I wanna do a 1.8 turbo conversion In years to come, in a m2 golf or something tho. A tad easier then a 6N

How she looks at the mow. Getting 2 of them banded in the new year to 8J to see how they sit then il band the other depending on them :-)

It'll be hard to go wrong with 8s on the rear and 7s on the front.

Right funds are VERY low at the mow! infact that low the polo is becoming less. I've sold some bits that i kinda wanted to anyway. sold the full cupra interior, which is good as i want to turn it into a van anyway. and the 6N2 rears which i also dont mind as there nice but abit boring now, wanna find something different to do with the back lights

VAN PLANS ;

Think I'm just gunna take out the rear 3 windows, and put metal in instead. do it nice obv, but abit undecided weather to leave the glass in the bootlid.??
