hope i dont get too much hate for posting about a jetta in here but I saw one today in a driveway looks like it been sat there for some time and there is plenty of moss and stuff on it but I really want it! and the interior looks nigh on mint, a gorgeous read leather. I tried knocking but I got no response so I'm gonna drop my number through the post box saying I'm interested as my 6n is finally on the road i can get a new project.

My question is does anyone on here know roughly how much it would be worth? I dont know anything about it (engine size, mileage ect) but just wondering if anyone has an idea for a rough/max price I should offer :)

Mate this really is a piece of string question, not only that but with some thing like this sounds its very rarely what some thing is worth but what the owner wants for it. I've seen some fucking cool cars rot away because the owner refused to sell them or just wanted way more than the car was worth. When I was a kid a bloke behind us had a mk1 capri 3100 sat on his garden, my step dad kept trying to get him to sell it but the bloke refused, all the time the moss and rust was getting worse and worse. We moved in the end but a few years later it was still there but looking beyond saving then one day it was gone

Keep trying cause you might get lucky but with it having red leather it must be modded so my money is on it being a "i'm gonna finish it one day" car

I have knocked on a few doors about cars and only one has been available at scrap price all the others wanted way over the odds or keeping it for their on reasons.

I guess i'll just have to keep trying and see where it goes, I'll keep my fingers crossed as i want it! although i want a mk2 polo and a mk1 golf and a caddy and this is why I have no money!

i want all of the same car mate, at some point i'm intending to sell the polo, buy a piece of shit and sit on the money and wait for a real peach to crop up. plus i get put on the girl friends insurance to drive her seat ibiza when I'm 19 so that wont be to bad!

but in regards to the jetta, if it looks like it needs alot of work just start low and hope for the best ;P
