Just started doing our lasses polo up to try and motivate her to pass her test. She took 2 tests a while back failed and gave up so I'm hoping a little inspiration will help along the way. Its a 1997 bog standard 6n, I've chucked my old wheels on it, a badgeless grill, nice jvc stereo and 12 month tax and test. I'm going to run this until shes passed as its a little lighter on fuel than mine lol. I'm going to do this one up completely different to how mine is as shes no car enthusiast her self ha so needs to stay subtle. So just picked up a set of valver bumpers, stubby mirrors, all red rears (one from germany), some pressed plates and some coilovers. Finally i can deck a car to the floor without smashing my sump ha. Might even get some 13" bandeds for her. Ill get the pics up later when I'm in the car.

Haha, I'm no expert at the body shop, even though i am qualified in level 3 body repair lol. I always get my mate whos body shop it is to paint everything, i just do the filling ad shaping ha. Its crying out for a re-spray, wait while i put the pics on, its a right dog, its been sat neglected for a year or two. Keeps me busy though.

I know ha, she'd hate banded steels anyway but I'm running it until she passes which will not be soon so thats why i was guna put em on. Their 14's at the minute so just guna wind them all the way down with the helpers left in.

Haha I'm never letting her drive it lowered either, I'm guna raise it back up again when she takes over lol. i might even just never give it her and buy her something else when she passes. i get attached and take things over the top, it might have a gttdi in it before i know it ha.

Had a day with it today, got the 16v bumpers on, coilovers on, got some jam in the back back badge recess,12 months M.O.T on it and went for tax but i was too late ha. a few pics:

Cheers lads, she doesn't like it ha, its too late now. Going to buy her a new one.

Just colour coded the passenger side stubby and also the pressed plates came through yesterday. Waiting on German spec passenger side rear light and German drivers side stubby coming through now. Up to the body shop tomorrow to begin work on the smoothing.

Stubbys are wired up and fitted, got the passenger side "All red rearlight minus reverse light" through from Germany today aswell. Going to get the full car painted before i fit these and the plates so i don't cover them in unessecary over spray.

Got it painted, lights in, plates on, back bumper wants doing agen and mirrors need a re paint
