This is my first car. I have worked very hard and saved up to have this car. Wasn't a mummy daddy job. I have done a few slight mods... Painted callipers and the wind deflectors. I have just got some dotz mugello dark wheels in black. These will be going on in the next week and the suspension is going to be lowered. Unfortunately only by 40 mm. Just to start. May be lower in the future. I shall get pics up as soon as I can. And shall upload some as it is now.

I've been a fan of the Dotz Mugello alloys in Black for a while, be interesting to see what they look like on a CW 6R! Keep us updated with any mods :)

The wheels are here. went to see them today and they are looking very very sweet. there 17" and rather wide. having slightly stretched tyres. these and the springs should be fitted by next weekend. I'll get some pics up straight away !! cannot wait !! also debating whether to debadge the back. just removing the polo and the 1.4 badge. i want to but dont know how easy it will be and if it will leave any marks ? can anyone give me any advise me please ?

Debadging is really simple and makes the back end look better. All I used was a hair drier, some dental floss. Just hold the hair dryer over a badge at a time until the glue melts enough for you to get the dental floss behind and just pull it downwards until the badge comes off. Repeat for each badge and then just remove any excess dried glue and give your boot a good polish. Job done!

As for the wheels - those look nice dude. I'm pretty sure the hubcap in the middle is the same size as the OEM VW one if you wanted to replace that! Get some pics up as soon as they're on her. What springs you going for? :)

That is a very very nice car there mate! I'm jelous in a nice way. Debadging it is very easy, like the AJ said, use a hair dryer to warm the glue up and simply use dental floss behind it to cut through the glue. Then use either T cut or polish to clean up the remaining glue, depending on how much is left. Dont use anything which might scratch it i.e your nail etc. T cut and polish will get it off eventually. I think rear window tints are in order next!!

On another note, how come your car has gained another 2 doors??

thanks guys, I'm gonna have a go at that soon and get them badges off. I'm looking at booking in to get the windows darker in the next couple of weeks and my car hasnt gained doors. that is just a preview of what the car will look like with wheels on. also I'm not to sure what springs they are. all i know is they are lowering springs. i have a friend of the family who owns a mod shop so i chose the wheels and left the springs to him.

Autoglym intensive tar remover is the best for taking the glue off mate :) works much better than T cut
