Looking good :D Glad it's gone to a good home, makes me more motivated to get mine back on the road now!

Ads is after a new mid section if you're getting a new one btw.

aha so somebody finally bought this :) saw it when i went to pick up a gearbox for my G from Saf, like you mentioned the bodywork needed some attention but will be the business once you've had that done.

had it down the 1/4 mile already? would have liked to head to santa pod this weekend, but mines laid up having stuff done to make its quarter run quicker :)

it ran a 16.05, didnt realy abuse it to get a good time though, kiz had a look over it and the lambda sensors not doing anything, so if i sort that out and give the charger a service il recon mid 15's easy.

then agian a quite moded G only got 15.4 i think , so 16s can be to bad.

what part does he need tez, as id rather keep the cat incase i dont get a friendly MOT tester

Nice base man :) be reet with a bit of loving!

I assume you got bored on the m1 last night with max and fucked off? Haha

the tyres wont help, with marigoldi's on the front! some decent rubber and a working lammy should see you putting down some good times dood

ps. as much as I'm enjoying being in golfie, I am missing greyie!

It was pretty amusing when I beat you first time round, but even funnier when you beat me!

Haha 1st gear was pointless on the strip.

Felt a bit snide on Max moching of onto the m6, but its so much quicker for me, and i was f*cked from 3 hours sleep the night before.

Eventfull day to day, 200mile round trip to pick up the new wheels.

60mph on the m6, gave it a bit of boot, then TIIIIIISHH!, I nearly cried when i heard it and limped to the service station 1 mile away, realy thought the charger just shat it self. Turned out to be the sensor on the throttle body boost pipe Blew out!, So relieved untill i realised the O ring seal is now probably on the m6. Drove out and was getting 2psi , pulled over agian to see if could do anything - just to see the O ring hiding in the strut cap :D winner! hasnt done it since.

The G's peaking 9Psi, not to sure if that low or out, doing some research now.

today purchaces:

Wheels :ninja: look fully sick and where a mission to fit due to front shocks deciding to have no oil :D, so they just stayed on the floor while raising the car  £???

150peice Halfords Pro tool kit £99

Cheapo boost guage £30

Window wipers £14

Saf you up for tinkering this weekend or you busy mate?

Haha pm me a pic of the wheels dude!

Screwing about the co pot! How random!

9 sounds right. Std pulley puts out bout 0.7 psi n a bar is 14 Ish psi.

I'm busy on sat out drinking all day but Sunday will be cool. On my own car missions but come over n we can fiddle with the g

should look stunning on classics, i want a set of them, but i think id want 8j rears haha

  • Author

Know what you mean, fronts are spot on inline with the arches, rears could do with spacing 20mm or so :)

Should look awesome with abit of TLC!

Don't be too hard on yourself for leaving me for dead on the m1

GT box's on motorways FTMFL :disgust:

G40 box's arnt much better, about 4k at 70 iirc!

Pictures of the ats's up in a minute.

Finally got a G then Matt :)

yay pictures.

btw its got a CEG box on it, with thicker driveshafts.

i couldnt run 13s with lower pro tyres again, was forever ripping the exhaust off, and fully lost a backbox once :(

Love them though, so much more grip!

Problem is there on using wobble bolts, Perfect to drive on and shiz, but I need locking wheel nuts!

Running 8psi mid range boost now, But at 5,5k she managed to crack 10psi with a little tickle on the silk road, looks like the chargers servicing itself

got some arch gap going on now, front shocks need changing, so the going to raise the front up more. Rears are adjustable to il probably drop the one notch. Although it doesnt look low the exhuast is taking a beating, hopefully the new stianless mid section will sort that out :D

Oh, and anyone know how to clip the side strip on properly, It just doesnt want to go on, may try heating both strips up to give them abit of flex
