I hear your not cool if you haven't got a spare mk3 sitting in a garage. Buy two.

Little update:

Now have another charger, little more porting that the other one - Fitted.

Borrowed 65mm pully (Serpentine belt) of G40 AD 8-) - Fitted, silly slippage at the moment though.

New Supercharger Oil Feed - Fitted.

And other little bits and bobs.

Master cylinder seals - Ordered (VW)

Exhuast backbox fell of its hangers while reversing and managed to snap off, so I've "custom" made a hidden pipe to the rear

If i get time before saturday (all types) its service time for the engine, New TCA bushes, and lower the rear springs one notch as she has a little rake.

Couple of snaps while out and about:

Yeah, just a little rake...

What is it you have done with your exhaust?

I have a similar problem. Cable ties are struggling here..

just a little pipe clamped on the rear section , sounds well but its only tempory

Done some work today:

Stripped the rear, so i dont have to take passangers anymore, as the rear seats and exhuast are getting merked 8-)

post-27785-1337289477_thumb.jpg

Starting to lower the rear more, needed to go to the bottom notch to get rid of the rake. No pictures of the finished result as is dark. (Note: "custom exhuast")

Edited by mattpolo5491

Yay yay :) when we racing?

  • Author

when my supercharger decides to stay tensioned :( back to mediocre boost agian

I'm missing gina g! Come over tomo if u ain't busy with Kim, walshie is comin over too after I finish work

I want this. Looks really nice on the ATS, you keeping them now?

Hows it going with the paint?

Max: undecided on the classics, they look good, but its lowered the car more so the mid box is catching on everything, and they have shortened the gear ratios quite alot, could do with the extra money for a charger rebuild aswell. Paint wise its still the same, bar being polished and touched up

Saf: Il bob over mate, be good to catch up with walshy after like 2 years :D

Had a look at her this morning to see if shes settled down suspension wise, its not gone down alot but its sort of level

It did look amazing on 14'' RA's

Slim, thats my plan when and if the classics sell, its just finding a set with good tyres that havnt got the added scene tax on them

My old G and the best car i ever owned :-)

Bet you glad you bought it. Once the teething problems are out of the way (always with any new car) you will be onto a winner. Minor spots on the bodywork to sort but they never put me or Saf off (never got any worse throughout my ownership) and glad it didnt put you off.

Good stuff. Look after it :-)

Yeah I'm glad I bought the G of Saf, its been totaly realiable bar things going wrong when I mess with shit , glad to be adding to the mahooosive service history though

Looking at this picture, she comes up well, but it does my head in noticing all the little scratches when cleaning it:

Updates:

Started playing with the rear section exhuast today, trying to de-pikey it and raise it. Didnt go so well  Ended up cutting the pipe to short so the box sits under the rear beam :smoke:, Managed to raise the mid section more so I've got more clearence though, again no pictures of it actualy all fitted as i couldnt be arsed, anoyed that I had to clean up after myslef, and it was dark :doubt:

DSCN0656.jpg

Back box (if you want to call it that ) was free from the local exhuast center, little crispy and dirty, so i gave it a blast with some high temp paint and sanded the tip a little.

Below pipe is what I shoved on before i fitted this

Before: Mocking up Lengths..
