Hey all, about a month ago i brought myself a G40 some of you might have seen it before. Anyways i use this car as my daily so far all good no problems touch wood !!

here a list of what has been done to it when i brought it

Stage 4 charge

65mm pully

chip to match

GT inlet

G60 injectors i think not 100% sure

boost return mod

Heres a little list what I've done to it so far....

See though dizzy cap

Serviced engine. plugs, leads, oil filter

New front discs and pads (Brembo)

at the end of the year hopefully going to send it away to a body shop to sort the patches of rust on it :(

Loooks real nice, out of intrest where did you get your clear dizzy cap? I cant seem to find them anywhere now

Just paint your current one with lacquer, see through paint innit!

Got one £14.99 as i want ot for when i do my carbs so i got a mk2 a golf one :)

I took the covers off my red MK3 and drove down the road a mile an heard this thing fly off under my car an looked in my mirror and went F**K IT !! :( haha.

Got some Borbet ts in matt black once they have been finished maybe to go on....

Also thinking of lowering it 60-40 but looking around for a decent kit and good ride as i use it as a daily.

haven't really done much eles to it apart from ordering a new radiator fan and the motor is on its way out :( but apart from that she running like a dream

Right I've found a bonnet bra in my shed what was off my mk2 golf just wondering what people think ?? iam not sure :/

Also have my new fan :) which will i will be fitting at the weekend.

in my opinion your car isnt low and wide enough to pull off a bonnet bra, thats the only time i think they look good

I reckon bonnet bras work with different colours of car. White, is just a little too much of a contrast in this case....

But it'll keep your bonnet free from stonechips! :)

Well know g40 this, used to be owned by guy from g40 club i remember this from 10 years ago, was for sale on ebay a while back and again in 2010.

Nice clean looking car there mate...not liking the bonnet bra though but if you like it keep it :-D .

They aren't fashion accessories, they are there to do a job.

Why people put them on for looks is beyond me :S they look daft.

ull be more pissed off when you leave it on and the colour changes underneath

Even if the bra looks gay in some peoples opinoon, even i am not keen, i still wouldnt fancy driving a clean G40 as a daily without some kind of protection from the elements..... and gritters :p

well i was only trying it out see what it looks like but mehh hahaa. right heres some more piccys from yesterdays meet down at kustom kolours and then on the way home had to stop at a pub for pint in the sun with a few mates ! oh and brought some more wheels....

she just done over 170k now and she still going strong... done a few more bits like new wheels (borbet ts) and stainless exhaust system from the cat back stilll not 100% sure on the exhaust system though might put the original one back on and just decat it.

Went to DC12 on Sunday which was a good show lots and lots of nice cars . saw few polos only 1 G which was a breadvan :). At the end of august the polo will be coming off the road ready for a complete ground up restoration because the rust patches on it are doing my head in :(.
