6n 16v bumper splitter options

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a 16v bumper in the shed but it doesn't have a splitter or grille. The grille I'm not too fussed about as they are easy to find, however I have not been able to find a 16v splitter. I have seen a few people are running 6n2 gti splitter and I really like the look of them.

So my question is has anyone tried fitting splitters from other bumpers/cars that fit well? I have seen golf 3 gti splitters going fairly cheap, but I'm thinking they are a bit too big and would scrape the floor?.

Also, where is the best place to get a 6n2 gti splitter from(apart from vw) I'm not too bothered about its condition(new or used) or even if it's a copy or not, as long as it will fit.

Hope this hasn't been covered a million times as I couldn't find answers through the search system.

Thanks

we always used to run ibiza gti splitters back in the day, they looked pretty cool and are easy enough to get hold of

there was a topic on here with loads of different ones that people had tryed ect, but cant find it.

like the mk3 golf standard splitter as the vr6 chin is too big for a polo really, or as rob said ibiza gti.

polo gti,

laguna splitter maybe, if it would fit.

What about a laguna splitter ?

Ran a laguna splitter on my old 16v all you need to is cut down the middle to shorten it a bit. Really flexible so can get them to fit really nice. I'm about to try and fit a cupra splitter to my open air 16v, I'll let you know how that goes.
