Featured Replies

Can anyone please instruct me in how to remove the 3rd brakelight from the decklid without braking it?

Need to remove it prior to painting the decklid...

two screws either side of the light i thought? I had mine out as I had to fit a new one but it was a loooong time ago, i think you will need a star drive, possible one on an allen key type thing, hope this helps :)

Is that what is under both rubber caps? Maybe you have to twist Or move that plastic part to release it?

I will have a look at mine now and see if mines the same. I always thought they where bolted on?

get a flat head screw driver in the slots pictured and just slide it towards you (iirc) and it does come out

i'll take a pic of mine tonight as i've removed it, it might help understand how it comes out

Yes, that's how it looks under the rubbers

when i say it slides - it does take some force to move it (you wouldn't want it to come out under hard acceleration, would you?!)

I might even still have my Haynes manual knocking about so i'll have a look in there too

Great! I'll have a try tonight. The photos would help encourageing me..

I did mine the other day to fit my spoiler.

You have to use a flat head to move it down, at the same time need pulling towards you, you should feel it come loose. This is because its on a spring loaded mechanism. Once that is down you may need to get you screw driver under the part you've just released to lever it up and out.

Hope this makes it easier.

Pete.
