Why do I have to wait 5 minutes.....

Featured Replies

As title really, whats this all about why do I now have wait 5 minutes between sending PM's? Is there a way to turn this off? Is this not a little bit excessive its becoming a complete ball ache to try and sell parts on here?

I can understand maybe to stop spam but 5 minutes is well excessive!

I'm sure mine doesnt do this, unless its because I'm a paid member? :S

5 mins does sound excessive though

First I've heard of this, how many PMs have you been sending?

its because your not a paid member

Because your a tight wad Andy, put your hand in your pocket and become a member

It's there for all none paid up users to stop pm spam. I don't really think 5 mins is excessive, its about the least we can set it to and still allows you to send 12pms an hour.

Unacceptable... what happens if he wants to send 13?

If he's selling that much he can afford a fiver.

AFAIK, it's to stop bots signing up and sending thousands of PM's to spam us all.

I think it's similar with creating new topics too (but not sure on that, I might have made it up)

It can't be cos of the knobs that post the same topic about 5 times...

Nah think that's because they're impatient and can't be bothered to wait for it to load when posting a new topic so the keep clicking post topic then wonder why it's up so many times :doubt:

I could answer all my PM's in 5 minutes though, its just arkward, and I don't want to join the club, I tried before and kept getting ignored, i'm breaking my polo after it got rear ended so I wont actually own a polo anymore so seems a bit pointless.

Thanks for the guys that gave me a genuine answer

And thanks for the dickish replys that confirm its really not worth me becoming a member of such a club

P.s Mk3 polo breaking ;)

Why should you have something for nothing? Its a perk of being a paid member. if you dont like it...........

I think i may become a member .. sod it i've clogged up this forum long enough i so i'll do it now ..
