Finally sold the golf yesterday which meant that the delivery of my mk3 could come, been sat for about two years but happily starts first time and sits on tickover. MOT is booked for monday so it could be on the road monday afternoon :)

I haven't cleaned it yet (due to the horrible weather) but I've only seen one dent on it, its absolutely mint!

Gunna drive it standard for a few weeks just to see if there is anything that might need doing, then i'll put my plans into action :)

Got the new tyres fitted today:

That looks soooooo clean

The overall condition is incredible! Gave it a quick wash and chucked it in the garage and that's what it's come out like, still a bit faded in places but it looks pretty good.

Coilovers aren't going on for a bit, gunna run it standard for a few weeks to see if I find any niggles as it had been sat for two years. Don't worry it won't be long

Passed the mot! Only 3 advisories aswell, slight corrosion on the front brake hoses and on the nearside rear brake pipe.

Coilovers will be first I think, got mugged off by my mobile tyre fitter, asked for part worns and fitted new ones then told me it would be £180 for them. Didnt have a choice as he'd fitted them, nice person.

Might try and find some cheap alloys so i wont have to run trims & steelies, but after the coilovers ill be saving up for some proper wheels :)

Seen a set of wheels I quite like, might just buy them first then get coilovers later, undecided! Payday next week so it'll get a full service first and ill see what I've got left metinks.

Are the arb blocks that good? I thought my car handled well on the springs and shocks it handles 100x better with coils!

Then went home and gave the bumpers a good scrub and fitted the red stripe on the bumpers, still undecided on it so it might come off at some point...
