Feels so good to be driving again, car still isnt exactly perfect but near enough.. Got a couple of pics from the weekend mid wash post wash etc... took the side strips off then ran out of tar remover so I've just left the passengers side til the weekend.

Shouldnt have gone with a 6n2 man, the feel of security is nice, but as you've found out when things go wrong its always better to have an older car that you can just take apart with a phillips and a 10mm socket lol

Small update really, just been hoarding parts for a bit!

Managed to get a mate to come round at the weekend and machine polish the whole car, 4 coats in total using all 3m products, absolute legend... I coated it with Gold class paste wax, needs another coat then onto some dodo juice purple haze.

Got some 60 & 70mm springs from simon on here and some lowering top caps aswell, they will be fitted soon as will the wheels I have after I've ordered two new front tyres...

This is the first near mint car i've ever owned, so that explains the over cleaning

Looking nice and clean. Allparts Automotive are bloody good! They used to have a branch in Kennington but then moved to Abingdon I think.

The guy I bougth it from had a mate that worked there so he chucked the plates in for free (aswell as the G40 brakes with braided hoses in the boot)

Having a go at fitting the springs tomorrow, and I've ordered the centre caps and two front tyres so the wheels will be on next week

Rained all day so didn't fit the springs, then went to the mini and VW show hanging out of my arse so I only got a few pictures!
