Straight away I de-badged and de-wipered it, and fitted a stubby aerial

Next up was some Apex springs with a 40mm drop, My dads house has a mega steep driveway and the bumper already scrapes the floor going out so I couldnt go more than 40, still looks way better than the original ride height though!

Then I picked up some cheap Polo alloys that were in desperate need of a refurb, so off they went.

Whilst waiting for the wheels to come back I picked up this gti grille and sprayed the badge black.

Got the wheels back form refurb! Wicked wheels in Crawley did an amazing job, like a brand new set of wheels! And I finished them off with some fresh new vw badges off Ebay.

Really happy with how the car has turned out, all the subtle little bits have made such a big difference! I've now started on a kit car build with my dad that were gonna enter in local hillclimb races around the south, so I dont have any more plans for the polo anymore.

CAr is looking really nice mate. I'm presuming you have a lot more plans? Might I suggest spraying the back badge (I don't know how hard it is as mine was already done)

Do you find that the stubby aerial gets you absolutely no reception??

nah mate got no more plans as I'm startign on a kit car project with my dad, so this is staying as it is for now, the aerial seems to wor kfine in and around town, but out on the motorways and country roads its pretty useless! i put a sony stereo in it with an aux input so i usually just put my ipod on
