the bloke who sorts my tyres recommended 165/50/13's for stretch on mine.. thats a professional. and i've seen plenty with that rubber on 6.5J/7J's. this table is highly inaccurate, although a good starting point so cheers

Well VW were scraping the minimum all those years they fitted 165s to 5.5s then, including the Coupe-S.

I use 185s on the stock 5.5s and i'd say they're the limit really, certainly no risk of kerbing the rim, wouldn't wanna fit 195s on these.
