I've just replaced the lock springs/paddles on the front door handles on my 2001 6v2 ( Polo estate) following this guide here

The drivers side handle just popped back in easy by levering the handle back in and sliding backwards. The brass lever in the door found its way back into the latch part of the handle and the door opens.

Can i get the passenger side to do the same? NOPE! i've been trying for ages now! It seems i cant get it to go into place without somehow prying the door part of the latch which seems almost impossible to get to when the handle is in place?

Any ideas please!

This always happens... I had pretty much given up on it, came away to post here, had a cup of tea, then went back for one more try and it went in fine first try?
