Really don't want to sell up but feel I've reached the end with this car and have found a Corrado that's taking my fancy. The car is a 1989 mk2 scala on 157k miles, converted to 16V with a 90k KR lump from a mk2 golf in February 2011 (done professionally by VW Rescue). Other specs for the car include Ashley 4-2-1 manifold, mated to a stainless steel 2 inch bore straight through exhaust system made by MIJ in Walsall October 2009. The exhaust isn't to everyone's taste so you want feel that you want to change it! Suspension is Hot-Tuning coilovers which aren't as bad as people make out, car's still comfortable and handles brilliantly (car rides quite low but there's plenty of scope to change that).

At the same time as the conversion, both wishbones were changed, new clutch release bearing and and new CV boot on the passenger side. MFA is connected up, temp gauge doesn't work even though its connected up, may need new sender, please note that the ISV isn't connected as converison looms are hard to come by, however, this hasn't bothered me.

Timing is a little out but still driveable, will sort this for the right price (see below) also I'm going to wrap the manifold and maybe change the front discs and pads (will defintely be wrapping the manifold, may just provide the discs and pads as may not have time).

Underside was waxoyl'd by myself in 2009, it is surprising solid underneath, needs a little tidying up under the bonnet but not the end of the world, it also had two new sills in early 2010.

Paintwork is pretty good for the age, few little bits that may need attention (passenger door by the handle may need attention soon but I've kept on top of it) but I think it adds to the originality of the car, just to note the car hasn't been resprayed! There's a small ding in the bonnet from the K-jet injection system but it doesn't really show unless you're looking for it, car also has legal pressed plates in holders

Wheels, the car will go on the ATS's if the money's right, else I will be selling those separately and the car will go on snowflakes with decent 185/60/14 tyres (tyres on the ATS's are 195/45/15 Proxie PX4's that have only done 2000 miles)

Spares included with the car; new driver's indicator lens, new MFA stalk (as wash wipe doesn't work on intermittent), new indicator stalk, one front spot light, new courtesy light switches, can of helios blue paint (exact match done by a professional paintshop (Bitec in Telford)) and the holy grail, a mk2 haynes manual! :hugegrin:

The car has a few accolades, Class winner saturday, runner up sunday, GTi International 2010, Class winner both days, GTi International 2011 and mafia choice, 2010 :hugegrin: car was also on display at Ultimate Dubs 2012

Basically, tidy, trophy winner with a few niggles to sort to make into a epic car

Price wise, £1000 as is now, £1200 with some timing work done, manifold wrapped (will provide a fresh MOT if required), £1600 onvo with the ATS wheels included
