I bought this Polo just over a month ago via eBay, I was having issues with my 1.4 16v and needed something short term to get me round. It popped up at the right price and the impulse buy was complete. I collected it from Slough and drove it around for 4 weeks before my 1.4 was ready again. So it's now ready for a new home and as such it's listed here!

Problems:

- Bodywork is the main one. Most of the panels have light scratches on them and with it being a black car, they show up. Maybe a home respray or vinyl wrap? The front bumper/bonnet/wing are scuffed up as is the passenger rear door/arch. See the pics below...

- Wheels are corroded, a common issue on 6n2 Gti's.

- Is asking for a service.

- Few trim pieces inside are missing (parcel shelf, electric mirror switch, seatbelt mounting point covers)

- No service history either.

- It pops out of reverse, but the other gears are smooth as silk.

Please don't arrive expecting a mint example of a 6n2 Gti, the bodywork is it's main let down, but if you can see that it just needs a service and a few trim pieces - less than £100 in parts and you're on to a winner.

Hi mate. whats the gearbox like? Any signs that its had a refurb? is it noisy/crunching/jumping out of gear etc Also your picture link doesn't work.

It pops out of reverse, but the other gears are smooth as silk. Only remembered this when I moved it at the weekend. I've updated the advert above. I don't think the gearbox has been refurbed, but then I've not looked very closely at it.
