Madmans Moped

Hi folks.

Decided that some people may be interested in a readers ride on my little piaggio zip 50. Its been purchased as a money saver for my short commute as I'm in the middle of buying my first house and i need all the money i can get.

It cost me £300 and its in an alright condition. Not great but it doesnt need to be.

So here it is as i bought it:

The first thing i did was to sort out the fact that i had no wing mirror on the left hand side. The previous owner had fallen off and snapped the mirror. They then tried to drill out the bolt and left the follwing mess:

So off with the old brake bracket assembly and grip:

And on with the new bracket and mirror that i got off ebay:

Next was the smashed rear light lens. It looked unsightly and I'm pretty sure it was an mot failure:

New:

Even the missus got involved and got me some dice caps as a present:

After all that it now looks like this:

It needs a bloody good clean and I've got a couple of things i want to do but for now I'm happy.

Hope you enjoyed reading

Chris
