Hi all Up for sale is ‘Doris’. I brought her 2 years ago and she spent her first winter with me dry stored and being worked on. She had been sat for at least 8 years. Someone had abused her with a clipper bumper git and git decals (errr). I snapped her up because she has NEVER been welded, is in seriously good condition underneath and has only one tiny bit of rust on rear arch (new full arch panel included). She has a great history with a folder full of bits n bobs (interesting reading). She was my daily the whole of last summer and has been again for a month now. I am only selling because my band is gigging a lot now and she is not practical (at all) for my bass cabinet, its an 8x10 around the size of a fridge freezer! I am looking to sell or trade for an estate, audi or vw, deal either way. Anyway this is what I have done since owning her…. ENGINE -brand new Weber Carb from webcon -radiator -battery -electric ignition -fan switch -rocker gasket * -oil/filter -plugs * -air filter * -Clutch cable * -accelerator cable * -Fuel filter -dizzy cap -rotor arm* -thermostat * -Gear linkages -carb tuned and timing done -fuel cap BODY -JOM blueline coilovers (non seized) -Disks/pads (not fitted) -top mounts New banded 14 inch steel wheels, 8s front and 8.5s rear, with new Uniroyal rainsports all round(basically brand new as got these last august). These wheels fit perfectly and look awesome! BODY -grille -original bumpers -splitter -roof rack -original badges -currently running a rusted bonnet but will probs fit original red one this week. -lamex headlight covers As you can see I have spent quite abit, the wheels/tyres alone cost me nearly £600. * means done this month, and last year for some

She has a brand new MOT as from today and 5 months tax. Not one advisory either. Nice and cheap to insure and run being a 1.1 and since the weber was fitted she is actually pretty nippy! Bad bits…. Paint abit tatty in places ONE bit of rust (comes with full arch panel ready to fit) No aerial, never bothered me Window wash sometimes doesn’t work (luckily did today for the MOT)

She comes with loads of spares (suspension, ratted bonnet, new discs n pads etc…) . I will be sad to see her go but I need something bigger now so open to PX with an estate. (may be selling my 2000 polo gti too if someone wants two cars (winter/summer) for their estate!) This is a spur of the moment thing, but I couldn't tempt you with this could I?

1.6, weber carb with ITG air filter, 84k miles, 5 speed.

You can even get about 3 bodies in the boot, 4 at a push. And if you ever need to, it's even got the optional 'ski shoot'
