vw polo mk2 coupe rare derby front end

Featured Replies

Its been my pride and joy for nearly two years now and regrettably got to let her go

due to circumstances out of my hands, started off with a 1.3 gt engine in and decided i wanted a little bit

more poke and decided on a 1.4 16v conversion,

The car is still registered as a 1litre and is down to new owners to declare this!

as you can see from the pictures the engine is in and most of the hard

work is done, last few finishing touches to be done so here goes with what shes been treated to.

The outside.

The shell is in very good condition for its age (25), few bits of rust pictured, pic 9,10 & 11 around the petrol flap, front passenger wing and a little tiny fleck on the drivers door post. The car is sat on mini lites the rears being 7jj and the fronts being 6jj staggered sets of mini lites are very rare and i had to put these together myself by buying two sets, they currently need a refurb as I've only just put the set together. I've just fitted brand new suspension all round, front top mounts are not fitted yet as i had to order these from vw heritage as they are no longer made so will need fitting unless i get round to putting them on.

as you see in picture 1 the car has the derby front on which is rare as rocking horse s**t, its currently got the front end which is pictured in number 5. I may part with the derby front end but as yet its not included!!

Inside the car

I took the old interior out as it was badly worn and fitted golf gti seats as pictured, I've only fitted the front seats but do have the rear bench still to go with the car. the dash is from the face lift polo mk2f and was out of a gt, so has the glove box lid and clocks with the rev counter, has a cd player and all functions work inside.

Engine bay.

Under the bonnet lays a 1.4 16v engine, already and in place all the hard work has been done to shoe horn this engine into place.all wiring is in place inside the engine bay, but the wiring under the dash still needs sorting. this is the wiring of the immobiliser.need to connect fuel lines.

the radiator is in place but needs the slimline fan fitting i have brought for it. there is a washbottle included which sits inside the scuttle tray to give the engine bay a clean look. Exhaust needs connecting but have the parts for that too, its a custom side exit stainless steel exhaust from the manifold.

Bits left to do!!

wire immobiliser & fuse board.

connect fuel lines

fit front top mounts

fit slimline fan

exhaust needs connecting

refurb wheels if it bothers you badly.

VEHICLE WILL NEED TOWING HOME!!!!

I have extras i can include in this auction which consist of : Bonnet, rear shocks, radiator, haynes manual, seat belt set front and rear plus and other bits i find.

ANY QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK.

after around £1200 as can break for just over £1500

last chance as a whole before i break!!

will update in a few days with a breaking list if it comes to it!!

to be honest mate i have no idea what I'm doing with the wires with the immobilizer and fusebox, have no income at the minute to fund it.

id love nothing more to get it running but financial reasons means its gotta go, i want it to go all as one but no one is willing to pay what its worth, so needs must and if i have to this little beauty will get broke, as you say am i gunna sell it this time and the answer is yes one way or another, be sad either way but eve sadder if i have to break her.

fair enough mate. just sold mine tonight for 1250, yours has a nice paintjob so may get more if your lucky!
