I told you they were in good nick just had a rubbish paintjob, look forward to seeing them on :)

:) i know i just wasnt expecting that good under that paint lol I've done the lip on the wheels so they are looking new now ( not that they were bad anyway lol )

Right just thought id put some pics up of the new bits I've got

1st of all lets start with the wheels I'm refurbishing

Here we have the first two in filler Primer..

then the primed them in white.

and painted them in their original Alpine white

this is the worst one imo may do it again :/

Now as you may know i got some yellow headlight bulbs and imo they looked good.... all till the point the yellow started to smoke in my lights! so they got chucked away.

so after abit of searching (amazon) got some golden bright ones 3000K look-a-likes

Pics dont do them justice look awesome in the dark and go really well with the green of the car

Now before I had a car I was really into 4cross racing and i decided to get the bike out that i havnt rode in about 4 years!

need a bike rack now tho lol

also anyone who has a polo knows that its horn is now exactly the most many sounding horn in the world... lol

so I pulled this out of the garage...

yes thats a lorry horn :p

now due to the size I was first tempted to find a place under the bonnet... however it seems to be too long and wide to be fitted.. does anyone know where i might be able to tuck it in? i was thinking behind the rear bumper?

2007 Kona Scrap?

Ah man... I raced a Kona Stuff over here in the downhill NPS before moving onto a kona stab then the latest Giant DHcomp. I believe 'randombadger69' is also a mountainbiker too

bingo! love konas always have done giants too had a giant faith2 aswell.. came to a messy end tho :( nice to see other mountain bikers too its always bmx'ers and skateboarders (saying that i did/still do have a flip skateboard too)

UPDATE

FINALY!!!!

So at the beginning of this week decided it was about time i started and ran my 6n2 since it hasnt moved since i got the coupe lol

was surprised when it started straight away and ticked over just fine

gave it abit of a run about and parked it up next to it dad :)

just abit of difference in them... the younger one got FAT!! lol

anyway decided it was time to give the coupe a proper clean i.e. front seats out full hoover and wash the plastics down.

so once the front seats were removed i lifted up the carpet to see what state it was in underneath....

now I'm not 100% on this but i was sure that sound deadening was put under the carpet yes??

well i was met with none.. at all in the foot wells lol

so going to get some new stuff cut this week end and fit it :)

anyway got the car looking spot on inside so over all i was pleased

now the good stuff

Ordered lows not that long ago from Germany (FK automotive) 65/45mm for.......... £40! and thats new, delivered to my door. however they couldnt find my house soo that meant a trip to DHL depot team valley near the angel of the north :)

Arrived at the depot (could of been royal mail depot)

can you take a pic of the lowering kit once out the box please, just so that i can see if i got the same parts as you as i think my kit is missing something!! cheers :)

NEW item

Petrol Tank

Old one developed leak from filler neck joint to tank... was replaced at 77000 miles only done 95k+.

so since the old one WASNT painted?? before being put on :S got myself a new tank for special friend prices and went to town painting

I know no one will see it but I'm proud of the outcome least it wont rust so god dam easily..

Result using satin black and clear lacquer from rattle cans

(haze from polish residue)

to be fitted tomorrow then sort out springs this week :)

i've done the fronts but now the gold mounts in the engine bay that hold the dampers in place have lifted of the body and when i corner i can hear the springs moving! I'm sure i didn't miss anything from the old suspension but i dont know if i need something extra in place? got any suggestions? :)

look in the technical forums bud hopfully someone has wrote/pictured what you need :)

head gasket failure :( mind you all over and done with lol

thats what i was met with :(

but its had new radiator, water pump, thermostat, gaskets, head bolts and the head skimmed so its running better now :)
