Not really seen much across this subject so here goes..

I've been looking at getting a personalised plate, something that can be distinguished or whatever, which would mean changing the spacing, so I was wondering has anyone ever got pulled does anyone run one on here? If they have what are the sanctions or whatever?

uncle done it, not worth the hassle he went back to original spacing. got pulled first time and received a letter warning him to change it, he didnt and got pulled again and he got a fine. no points for him though.

to be honest, just try it, see how long it takes to get pulled (all police are different on strictness, your area may be really lenient) and at worst go back to standard spacing - thats what i'd do anyway

my mate spaced his incorrectly at work (works for vw) got pulled, got a fine and could have lost his job over it! allowwww

^ seems ridiculous doesn't it, I mean it's not like you're lying about the letters or anything you've just not put a space in the right place..

its still an illegal number plate.

whether its spaced wrong

incorrect font

not reflective

etc etc. its also illegal to use screw caps and such to alter the letters to make different words

Its illegal because ANPR cant read it if its spaced incorrectly

the BS the police chat about ANPR is utter shit, they can read german plates and all sorts.

the whole reason I'm not bothering with legal pressed plates because theres always a copper out there who thinks he knows it all and will fuck you up!

got some german ones to stick on for shows thought when shes worthy :p

When I got pressed ones I took thek to the cop shop and got them to give me a letter/note saying they are legal to show to any clever arse copper that tries to get me in the shit!

yeahh i think a couple people have done that, I'm tempted to do the same but i just cant be assed with the attention!
