Hey I'm new to the polo forums and this is my first ever VW I've had, bit of background about me.. I'm 20 work in a primary school and have done for three years and now studying a teaching degree alongside the job.. That's the boring bit out of they way, I started at 17 with a 2005 Corsa twin port then swiftly moved to a Vectra SXi 1.9 diesel vxr pack... it was a flying machine but couldn't convince myself to drop it on the ground, so I sold it after 9 months for a healthy some of money and purchased this and a big wow of cash in my back pocket...

This was the Vectra but decided to sell for this...

I was pretty pleased to pick this gem up, it's a 2001 with only 40k on the clock and overall in good shape.. Theres a few creases in the passenger door and rear quarter was damaged and a sill where the previous lady (an older driver) hit a bollard :s and a few scrapes here and there... Luckily for me we run a business where we supply car body shops and my dad has been in the industry for 25 yrs+ and has repaired and painted numerous cars.. WIN!

So it went from having a knock to getting repaired.. It had the usual door creases and dents and scuffs and scrapes here and there but it all got sorted and now sits in primer ready for the next stage...

And here is a sneak peak of whats to come!!!! and... I have a set of Rxii 16" 4x100 being done ready for the end product..

Yeah got quite a few plans, I have a couple of guys that run ultra low cars golfs polos etc they run stickers saying Three Six Five.. Their cars are sweet as!! But I want to do my own thing, I'm going for candy Vw white with gloss black roof, gloss black mirrors and the bbs rxii 16" are getting done gloss black and polished, it's then gonna get some coilovers or springs the usual stickers aha all this is going to get done at the same time, part whoring for the next few weeks... I'm putting money away though to fit air ride to it.. So yeah got plans bro

Just on returning home I had the EPC light come one and its crunching when you put it into reverse gear... I've had a look round and it may just be oil and a clutch adjustment fingers crossed, going into the garage ASAP!! Will update soon

Turns out the brake light switch was going causing the EPC light and the crunch in reverse gear was the gearbox oil was low and thin and the clutch badly adjusted... all good now

So it's Friday night and I've decide to have a look through on here, I'm already looking to out the polo on air especially when it gets it fresh paint, I've seen Jackson tuning do a budget air ride kit for £850 just wandering if anyone has bought it and fitted it? Oh and test fitting some wheels over the weekend and having to repair the drivers door where someone has put a crease in it....Losers!

Things are starting to come together, going to sort some coil overs out and no its not going ultra low as i want it to stay nice, need some spacers looking for 20mm in the back and 10-15mm in the front, got my bbs being done in black going to put 195/40/16 on them and the car is going to get completely stripped out over the next couple of weeks ready for its Candy VW White and black paint... Overall its going in the right direction

I'm having a real problem deciding whether to have gloss satin or matte paint, could do with some help, car is coming off the road on the 12th for the overhaul, advice needed

So I'm still waiting for wheels been told they should be done by tomorrow or monday latest, chosen a new colour rather than white, didn't want it to look chivvy but now it will be sweet, coil overs arrived but got a few bits of bodywork before its respray then suspension wheels and spacers to come, it will all be about finishing touches then
