They're a really high gloss silver, but reflecting incandescent lighting hence the gold tint.

£600ish for a set, if I remember. But there are lots of used sets about, which you could get refurbed in a fresh coat of gold. :)

I can't find any pics but there was a (don't hate me) white Saxo tuned by a company called L.A.D. Motorsport in an issue of Redline about 14 years ago with a set of gold MOs, and that thing looked badass. White cars, gold wheels, tough as.

Compos are sweet wheels, MO aren't that light though. Lots pop up on eBay, but are mostly Vauxhall fitment (centre bore 56.6mm and ET49).

Ashley only use mild steel, whilst most other after market are stainless. They have different prices and different sounds. Personally i find stainless exhausts too raspy, hence i went for an ashley, although its actually a hybrid of stainless and mild now since its been modified (no one does 'loon aftermarket 'zorsts). As for fit, the ashley system, in standard form, did hang a little low. Again, I've modified mine as even with my modest drop, the back box and pipe would have scraped all the time

I went with a Longlife one. Know 3 people with them on their polos and they are all really good! I'm having a new one made up for mine.

I've got what must be one of the oldest Longlife systems about - 12 years and two months, still going strong and still under warranty muahahahaha!

Thing is though, could you live with an 'off the shelf' exhaust that isnt a perfect fit?

Where as with a custom system for not a great deal more, you could have the perfect sound and a perfect, nicely tucked up fit...

Thats how i see it, ashley sounds ok but its a bastard to get it to fit right and you have to modify the mounts regardless. I'd rather pay a little more and have it bang on.

With powerflow, if it doesnt sound how you want it, they will change the box's or whatever. for no extra cost from what i gathered to make it how you want it.
