If custom is only a little more expensive then I'd go for that all day long. I picked mine up second hand anyroad and have had to modify for the reasons above anyway. However, I've been lucky that i have a a friend who is able to weld and modify the pipe work for me. If i didn't, no doubt it would have cost a fair wedge to have it modified to fit

ARRIS! want to swap rads?

i have a brand new diesel radiator which will fit your car and its larger then standard! uses the holes a bit wider apart on the radiator bar.

i cant use it as my intercooler piping makes my front end narrower

Hmm could do mate, mines just a standard one, I assume yours is a European diesel engine one that's why it fits the mounts or something?

Have just dropped off engine mounts and beam and a few other bits and bobs to be blasted and quoted. Expecting shit work for the price they quoted haha

Tbh for a beam, and it was about 13 other small items like mounts and stuff I was expecting over £100 for blasting and coating, but yeah we shall see, some stuffs pretty pitted so wont be amazing but tidies it up and will hopefully be a bit better than me angrily throwing hammerite at them ahha :p

the rad that jim has in his mk2 is absoloutely massive lol, you should ask him for a pic! it may be the same one! think its the biggest you can get for the standard mounts

haha my 12'' fan literally just fits the standard rad :p

I fitted a 6n2 valver fan and rad to my mk3, just cut the panel out of the slam panel and fitted it to the mk3 the fan is massive need to make a proper bracket up to fit the fan and rad, i'll put a picture on my build thread soon

its a euro rad harris- will fit perfect and i have the original brackets to use the original fan cowling!!!!!

its about 3" longer then standard for the same height and thickness. will make a big difference to the cooling mate.

i think it has a fee light scratchs but its never been used- i just tried to fit it and found it wont.

as for the coating- i had loads of stuff done at ABC and it was really good tbh. and cheap

Shouldn't really cure paint/powder coat in a domestic oven. Fumes are obviously released, and these shouldn't really be injested in cooked food. I wouldn't think once would do much harm, but I wouldn't keep using your old dears domestic appliance

Yeah it is cheap, am a bit concerned. Tbh the beam is pretty crusty so I wouldn't expect it to come out amazing. I told him that, but will be freshened up at least.

checked the jets on my cbr600s i have 4x135's! i have 2x138's and 2x140's, dont suppose you have 2 spare of each do you? x

I do yeah, Iv got 4 or 6 of each actually haha :) you could run 138 & 140, two cylinders run slightly leaner, can't remember if its inners or outers :)

Right just ordered some braided hoses, discs and pads, discs were £130 so hopefully wont shatter like the one on my 6n haha.

Apart from sorting the wheels and tyres I virtually have everything near enough sourced now
