bolts look lovely mate! do you mind telling me how much they were? they would suit my red bits nicely!

Been keeping an eye on this shaping up to be a cracking polo.

Did you shot blast them wheels? They look quite rough as in feel will the powder hide that?

I havnt read previous pages as there's so many are the compomotive?

Top stuff

yeah i keep meaning to drop them off mate, i will get round to it eventually! - was gonna spin them up on the balancer first to check them and measure the runout on them incase are buckled

need to order some Conti's too, gay! sorting little things atm like my switch pannel for centre console, wiring ideas, oil pressure switches and such.

need to measure my mid box's OD to have a reducer made to use the standard exhaust when i first fit the engine!

i do have a load of little shitty time consuming things to do! hopefully get my powdercoating back today but i think they'll let me down haha.

6n is now dead and buried in a scrap yard, so thats another worry off my mind, got a day off work today to smash some college work off, last week in this week then i should actually be able to relax and crack on!

When I droppe bits in he said 40, maybe 50£, went today and he said £30, ain't even worth the hassle of tryin to clean up and paint myself lol.

Dunno where my braided hoses are, probably cause I got blue ahah.

Also might drop wheels off tomorrow and have them done anthracite

Dunno if you've already said in the thread but where did you get the powdercoating done ?

Did he give you a price for wheels too ?

I got them done at 3D finishers in Coventry, however some stuff was well rusty so isn't great, but that didn't bother me, had it be a show car it would be less than acceptable!

I just wanted some fresh colour and a bit of protection.

Wheels are £20 each a wheel for coating without blasting - they have the blasting done externally.

My wheels have been blasted with something harsh so I might get them blasted again with something less abrasive but I can't see them coming out great!

I can see it's bad .. Could get them powder coated And flat them back then done in colour, Bit of a ball ache tbf

I was gonna build the beam this eve, just remembered I left the stub axles at work, gay.

Also can't rememeber what way engine mount bushes go anywhere haha winning

green stuff pads?

say hello to EPIC BRAKE DUST

  • Author

mate I honestly don't care; anything anyone buys someone always has something negative to say haha

The new ones aint as bad tbf .. Aslong as you do a good set of heat cycles should reduce it quite abit.

Oh harris i'd recomend using some wheel sealant makes cleaning these sort of wheels so much less effort lol

  • Author

Way ahead of you mate with the wheel sealant

Oh shit . forgot u had bbs style wheels on the 6n lol ..

Saying this though .. I've not had any for ages :(

can you not use a normal mk3 polo cambelt cover setup dood?

this Harris, is coming along nicely.

  • Author

Dunno Kiz! Probably but it's attached to my AAV so can't see, think you can but it rubs somewhere, I was gonna fibreglass and paint the mk4 cover then I realised I didn't give enough of a fuck to haha.

And THANKS LEON
