Nope, i dont even think they make springs tbh, most damper people dont.

bored waiting now tbh lol, just use 7'' with the helpers and wind them down a bit more to compensate lol.

this is whats stopping me doing the car, 2-3 weeks? LOL.

You dont even want it that low, why shorter springs? lol

the shorter springs can give a better rate of return for the same loading. theres a few other reasons also.

how come theres now photos of your to do list? hahahaha if you deleted the to do list posts this thread would be half the size!

get the motor in you fanny!

just spraying front door cards.

Gonna reassemble gearbox later with new seals, unsure on drive flanges.

I have a late mk3, the drivers side flange on the mk3 box is longer, but I'm using shafts off toby's bready (dunno the year) so maybe a longer shaft.

But 6n drive flanges? God knows haha.

Will the longer mk3 flange fit straight into the 6n box?

What colour would the flange be? I know one's a different colour, I can look at the box tomorrow when I get chance.

Erm oily greasy rust I think

Joking aside do me a favour tubs, measure the distance between the flanges for me? From the outer faces where you bolt the inner CVs to

Black carpets to come. Also may paint steering wheel black? What we think?

May invest in some half buckety type seats, need some adjustability and comfort for commuting etc though!

Raddo seats, problem solved

Wut?! That's crazy!

I know yeah, ain't even mint, I might just message the seller a link to an alarm clock, needs to wake up!

Its all about leather corrado seats dude!

Cars looking tip top, I'd get the engine in first if i'm honest, will restore the fun factor!

Which will lead to you being more enthusiastic about getting the rest of it done...

EDIT: Door cards looks good by the way, i'd personally have already painted the steering wheel black,

Also, get some OEM seats, none of this bucket stuff!

aha iv heard you're into buckets after a week away with yours missus?

Might do wheel the weekend.

Got a scuttle cover and rad bar today, sweet.

Will do chassis first to ensure brakes and suspension are ok :)

do the brakes make you stop and the suspension go up and down? if so, mint. get the lump in.

also, when am i coming up to help you fit it? i was thinking, i could take a few days off before action, and then come up then, and then go home after santa pod?

  • Author

Nope :)

When I have some suspension it will be done.

I ain't doing bits in stages or ripping corners off to fit certain bits to do the same a week later.

Ain't being funny but "PhilJ" suspension is horrific. Bushes in TCAs are ok but old and starting to perish. May Aswel have everything new and decent, why rush anyway, it's a car lmao, i was considering just buying a new car and not having any projects or fun cars tbh, so you're lucky I'm still doing anything

Gearbox is back together, driveshafts are rebuilt.

Gonna do wiring the weekend hopefully, just need my coilovers, I will not be using Gaz again even if it is due to them not having springs, if i hadn't have contacted it would be like 6-7 weeks down the line without a word or any suspension. And if they're no good, they're having them straight back

One of them mate..

Becuase your a end user they dont care as much and aint fussed about your custom/future custom see it in all larger companies ..
