Today I have fixed a few rattles, changed passenger mirror.

Also balanced my front wheels and centralised my steering wheel.

So so much nicer to drive with the wheels balanced :) getting there slowly.

The AAV is beginning to feel quite nippy tbh! I think I'm gonna be surprised with the AEE in this!

mmmm I'm excited for the ratio of movement with more power.

Oi I want your calipers BTW so I can run vented discs

TCA bushes, beam bushes and poly engine mounts ordered ! :)

Nice, which ones? Get the links up!

I need a VW11 set up too :-(

Can't say too much

Max, you already have one of my calipers, want the other?

unless yarris wants them?

decideeee!

I might just buy a pair of new calipers

Expensive!

Mine are ideal, you then buy the new rubbers etc and end up with a brand new caliper essentially.

Think it cost me about £50 for all the new bits (nipples/seals/sliders/new bolts) All VW items besides the slider rubber things, cus the VW ones are gay, got these from GSF

I bought some VWIIs and some front struts to be made into coilovers :)

Simon also donated some chrome inserts for my door handles :)

I honestly don't know whether to get a frame or just a GED bar thing, or make one.

Due to sump issues

I'm getting a GED bar... Gunna ask (the scottish dude that i cant remember his name) to get me one made up. Might be a bit cheaper if 2 are done? and posted together? ORR collected at poloshow?

Game Yarris?

Subframes are good... but useless if your low.

meh I'll get a frame be reet. I'd make my own brace, essentially a bit of bar with some plate on

Yeah, this is true

Easy to make, if you have the stuff to make it with,

I dont, really. I wouldnt trust Brett's welder to do something that required that strong a weld. i dont think, might be fine, dunno LOL

But it's an extra??? Therefore if it failed you still have the standard car there lol, be fine

Argggg jus taking engine out of 6n. Snapped the gearbox casting where the steady bolts on :( fml.

A brace that mounts to the arb clamps would be better imo.

PPP started doing this, with there stage 1 kits...

Also, there are 2 bolts on it. Not really ideal having two in the other location because of where it bolts to, not easy access on passengers side.

Was just about to say I've got a scrap 6N 'box casing you could use, but it's had the cable change bracket ground off it - though as it's going in a Mk3 it'd be reet...

Have routed wires in for rear speakers today, waiting for my 6x4's.

Ground zero dash speakers fitted and sub in too :)

To clarify, I meant I have a cable change box I was gonna ruin for the cases, but my box is rod change ( broken one)

Can you fit all the rod internals and linkage into a cable casing? If so andy drop me a PM about the casings ;)

Why not use the box off your spi?

it will be an 8P or CEG....

because its ratios are gay

Gay in what way? lol!

mk4 radiator in my mk2.. exuse the buggered paint and bodgyness and nackered fan housing, I'm sure you could make a neater version.

but yeah.. much better cooling my AFH would actually cool down going flat out on the motorway!

plus it got rid of the annoying hose from rad to expansion tank as i could then put it on the thermostat housing instead.

tucked under slam panel

before with mk2 rad:

after with mk4 16v rad

IMAG1016.jpg

do you see what i mean now?? looks much better

if you can find a proper way of holding it in better ect itd be a pretty good little mod, obviously you can only do it if your running a mk4 engine though as it needs the connection on the stat housing bla bla

the standard fan housing will only bolt in on one side as the rad is too long

(jim/runforrestrun had the same problem on his large rad on his new mk2 and made some extensions)

but you said you want a slimline fan anyway so it wont affect you.
