Polo 6N2 Wiring Diagram

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've been having trouble with my polo gti blowing fuse number 26, I know it's to do with the electric windows, electric mirrors, a/c and climate control, I have checked my door looms, one of which was broken a little on the casing of the wires so I got another and put it in but I know it's not the looms in the doors as my garage unplugged everything that is listed in the Haynes manual that uses that fuse. I've been to an auto electrician also and he couldn't shed much light either, he doesn't have a wiring diagram on his computer or any info in the books so has asked if I can get hold of one then he will take a look at it for me, until then I'm left with a car with no windows or heating and the alarm keeps going off unless the car is left alone. Any help would be much apreciated.

Haynes manual has wiring diagrams in the back. Not sure if it would be any different for the gti??? I imagine that circuit would be carried over from lower models!

I think fuse 26 is involved in ignition live control circuits of the aircon, electric windows, sunroof, central locking. It doesn't power them. It does seem to power mirror heaters and motors. The fuse is only 7.5 amp in the base models which confirms it is not major power circuit. Windows get their power from 38, 39. Sunroof from 35. Aircon from 11. Central locking from 38, 39, 41.

If you have a big current flow through 26 then I think this indicates a short to ground. My vote would be in one of the mirror circuits or switches as the environment for these, out in the wet and banging with the door is pretty harsh.

I'm having exactly the same problem and I posted on yesterday seeing if anyone had an answer. Your the first person I have heard to have the same problem. I can't find a wiring diagram anywhere either. If you read my post maybe what I've tried so far will help or you could advise if I've been going down the wrong path.

Here's the diagram for fuse 26

According to the above diagram I have managed to find connector A20, when I unplug this connector my fuse stops blowing. So I'm now looking for a diagram that will show me the next connector with the pin connections so I can test that. It looks like the wire runs into a large loom which is making it next to impossible to trace the wire to the next connector.

Any help would be appreciate.

Thank so much for the previous diagram so far it's leading me in the correct direction.

Hi, I've just trawled through all the diagrams and from the connector A20 it feeds the c/locking pump, climatic control panel, aircon high pressure sensor, if fitted the radio/navigation control display unit and it goes to connector T9 by the front interior light to feed the sunroof motor and rain sensor

Short to ground at the locking pump? Just thinking cause they get wet too..
