if you're gonna do the backs that dark i'd at least get the fronts tinted a little, looks a bit strange otherwise dude, and lose the stickers :p looks a good tidy base though

Wow!! That's cheap!! How many miles has it done, if you don't mind me Asking???

Was only 54,000 miles and 1 previous lady owner :)

Has it had belts?? Would recomend doing them now if it hasn't. Think it's 69,000 to have them done but mine were done when the head went.

Cheers mate!

I've it in for servicing next week to give it the once over and see whats up with it! I know the engine ticks over a bit, ask me why i don't know not great with car engines, but i'll take a look and see if it need's a new one :)

What do you mean, ticks over high when first started from cold? Or just ticks over high no matter what?

Tick over should be 750-1000 rpm. Any lower it may stool, any higher then your just waisting petrol. You could get a hynes manual to help you do DIY Little jobs.

Liam

EDIT - Just realised your number plates are illegal bud. I would recommend changing them. Could end up getting pullled alot.

That is such a good bargain, but 1 lady owner than painted the callipers red and fitted alloys? Hmmm have you hpi'ed it? Also check it has had its cam belt changed like said above

Yeh and pretty sure she's changed the pedals on them as well, was a wee Chinese women who owner it, got full service history and all!

Might have just been a good deal! I bought my 2003 9n last month for £1000 with 40,082 miles on the clock:) Been checked over by a mechanic and to pass its MOT in October it needs an exhaust and two front tyres. Fantastic buy :)

  • Author

£1000 thats a bargin!... Tyres will but nothing to replace and the exhaust i dunno about! - I'll see next week if mine needs anything but as for now it's running great :)

So here's my first change, didn't do the best job but it'll do!

IMO Its to dark, like a Asian taxi car :( but its your car.

I'm a fan of it being dark :p

Not sure where to go next with the wheels, i'd like a nice set of black 16" bb's or black and chrome lenso's, although considered spraying a set of BBS's green if i got my hands on a set :)

Look forward to seeing the RC's on! ;)

Are they brand new? If so keep them shinny :) look pretty nice with some coilies and a GTI Grill. You going to get a de badged 1 and add a floating VW badge or leave it plain?

Fully refurbed and freshly power coated! but with the company I'm with for insurance i can't drop her at all or they won't insure me which is a real kick in the b*lls :(

But i can't find a gti honeycomb grill that will fit the 9n, there's loads that will fit the 9n3 but not the 9n's so i'll have to see!

Oh fair enough, Clickkyy!! Then add This with these Jobs a gooden ahha. Only messing mate. Got to get a half moon tho to fill the lip in the bonnet.

Ah that fits the 9n3 not the 9n.. i've a feeling that they're different sized grill's!
