Ah shit, forgot I'd even done this.

Works well, except for where there's a build up of brake dust, that needs wire brushing first.

When they come out of the vinegar, rinse them in bicarb solution to neutralise the acid. But even then, the rust is fast to come back. After 5 days, it had surface rust on again so I repeated the process, washed with gun wash and then got the VHT on pretty swiftly, they seem fine now.
